The short films directed by Maria Inês Gonçalves and Maria Trigo Teixeira were honoured at the IndieLisboa – International Film Festival.

"La Durmiente"  (2025, Portugal/Spain, DOC/FIC, 20′), directed by Maria Inês Gonçalves, had its Portuguese premiere at IndieLisboa – International Film Festival and received both the McFly New Talent Award and the Audience Award in the Portuguese Short Film Competition.

The jury, comprising Mimi Plauché, Ricardo Teixeira, and David Moragas, stated: “In this film, past and present collide with humour and intent. The filmmaker reflects on how memory shapes our present, and invites a new generation to question what they inherit. With strong visual identity and a distinct narrative voice, we award the McFly New Talent Prize to Maria Inês Gonçalves".

Additionally, the 2025 Mutim Award jury unanimously decided to grant the prize to the film "It Shouldn't Rain Tomorrow" (2024, Portugal/Germany, ANI, 11′), by Maria Trigo Teixeira. The jury, consisting of Ana Vilela da Costa, Nay Araújo, and Raquel Freire, highlighted: “The sensitivity and subtlety with which the film addresses such important themes as ageing and the solitude of women, the caregiving roles they have always held and the power relations that stem from that, as well as the mother/daughter relationship. The film stands out for the innovative nature of its story and the beauty of its animation. With high technical and aesthetic quality, this work has the ability to generate empathy through its smallest details.”
