At its 56th edition, the prestigious Visions du Réel festival welcomes Portuguese filmmaker and photographer Cláudia Varejão for a dedicated Atelier.
Represented by the Agência da Curta Metragem, the director will take part in this year's program with a masterclass and a retrospective of her films, in one of the festival’s key auteur showcases.
Several of Cláudia Varejão’s films — as well as works by other filmmakers represented by the Agência, including Laura Gonçalves, Alexandra Ramires, Paulo Patrício, Ana Maria Gomes, Luís Costa, and Diogo Baldaia — are also available on the international streaming platform DAFilms.com. This curated selection also features directors such as Lois Patiño and Nevena Desivojević, highlighting the growing international reach of author-driven cinema supported by the Agência.
DAFilms.com is the main project of the Doc Alliance, a network of European documentary festivals that includes Visions du Réel. The platform offers global access to a wide range of documentaries and experimental films, with a strong focus on European cinema.
