Uruguayan premieres at Montevideo

The short films "Bad For a Moment", "Percebes", "La Durmiente" and "Under The Mountain's Shadow" are part of the official selection of the International Film Festival of Uruguay.

The International Film Festival of Uruguay is set to take place from April 8th to 20th, 2025, in Montevideo, Uruguay. Among the films competing are three short films: “Bad For a Moment” directed by Daniel Soares (2024, Portugal, FIC, 15'), “Percebes” by Alexandra Ramires and Laura Gonçalves (2024, Portugal/France, ANI/DOC, 11'), and “La Durmiente” by Maria Inês Gonçalves (2025, Portugal/Spain, DOC/FIC, 20'). The works of Daniel SoaresAlexandra Ramires, and Laura Gonçalves will compete in the International Competition, while Maria Inês Gonçalves' fiction film will be showcased in the festival's section for young audiences (M/12).

Additionally, this edition of the festival will feature a cycle dedicated to Portuguese Cinema, including the film "Under The Mountain's Shadow" directed by Diogo Salgado (2025, Portugal/France/Belgium, FIC, 20').
