Produced by BAP - Animation Studios (Portugal) and Ikki Films (France), ‘Percebes’ (Alexandra Ramires and Laura Gonçalves, 2024, Portugal/France, ANI/DOC, 11') is part of the last group of 15 titles to advance in the Animated Short Film category for the 97th edition of the Academy Awards.
Portugal once again has a chance of reaching the Oscars® in the same category in which ‘Ice Merchants’ (João Gonzalez, 2022, Portugal/France/United Kingdom, ANI, 14′) was nominated in 2023. The five nominees for the 2025 edition will be announced on Friday, January 17th
