Agência – Portuguese Short Film Agency is one of several Portuguese organizations supporting the second edition of Animalusa in Barcelona.
The second edition of Animalusa – Muestra de Cine de Animación Portugués is set to shine a light on contemporary Portuguese animation in Barcelona, thanks to the support of various Portuguese organizations, including the Portuguese Short Film Agency. Organized by Studio Kimchi, this year's event will be held from January 23rd to 25th, 2025, at the Centre Cívic Ateneu Fort Pienc.
This edition boasts a rich and diverse lineup, featuring thematic film screenings, masterclasses, and a workshop designed for younger audiences. The screenings will cater to both the general public and school groups, effectively promoting Portuguese culture through the art of animation. The event's distinctive visual presentation comes from film director and illustrator Patrícia Figueiredo, giving it a unique identity.
Animalusa receives backing from several esteemed Portuguese organizations, including Casa da Animação, CINANIMA - International Animated Film Festival of Espinho, Monstra – Lisbon Animation Festival, and Casa Museu de Vilar.
