Biography
Patrick Mendes was born in France, and came to Portugal at the age of five, where he studied and graduated. After finishing high school, he studied in the Conservatory of Cinema in Lisbon. After finishing the studies in Editing and Directing, Patrick Mendes worked with Pedro Costa, Miguel Gomes, Stan Douglas, F. J. Ossang, João Canijo, Werner Schroeter and Eugène Green. Nowadays, Patrick Mendes works as assistant director and produces, writes and directs avant garde short films.
