"The Moving Garden" in world premiere at Cannes

The short film by filmmaker Inês Lima will be part of the Directors' Fortnight, taking place between May 15th and 25th.

The latest film of the filmmaker Inês Lima, "The Moving Garden" (2024, Portugal, EXP, FIC, 18'), has been selected for the Directors' Fortnight at the Cannes Film Festival, which is celebrating its 56th edition this year.

This is Inês Lima's third film and her first as a professional director. This filmmaker's first short film, "At Dawn (De Madrugada)", premiered at the San Sebastián festival, IndieLisboa, Curtas Vila do Conde, Rencontres Internationales Paris/Berlin, Reykjavik IFF, Nara IFF, Arkipel IFF, among other international festivals, and won awards in Japan, Indonesia, and Portugal. Her second film, "The House in the North (A Casa do Norte)," premiered at the Curtas Vila do Conde festival in 2021 and received an honorable mention at the PortoFemme'22 festival.
