"Rare Bird", by Vasco Saltão is among the films that integrate the international competition of the Festival de Brive, taking place from August 28th to 30th at the Cinema Rex and Luminor Hotel de Ville, in France.
The 30-minute short film is Vasco Saltão's premiere as a director and will be screened at the 17th edition of the Brive Film Festival, on the 28th, at room 1, at 4pm and on the 29th, at room 3, at 6pm.
The director was born in Lisbon and graduated at Escola Superior de Teatro e Cinema. Since 2002 he has been working professionally in Cinema, in the areas of Screenwriting and Image, having worked with directors such as Leonor Noivo, Pedro Pinho, João Salaviza, Carlos Conceição, Filipa Reis and João Miller Guerra, among others.
The Brive Film Festival, founded in 2004, is entirely dedicated to medium format films until today. Every year, it counts with more than 100 screenings, competitive and thematic selections, tributes, educational selections, round tables and live music.
