"Party Day" by Sofia Bost is included in the program of the Odense Film Festival, taking place from August 24th to 30th, in Denmark.
Produced by Uma Pedra no Sapato, the film had its international premiere in the Critics Week of Cannes Festival and national premiere in Curtas Vila do Conde 2019. This short film follows Mena's day at the birthday of her daughter Clara, and counts with the participation of the actresses Rita Martins, Melissa Matos, Teresa Madruga, Sandra Celas, Mariana Silva, Sara Gonçalves and Fernanda Neves.
"Party Day" has been presented in more than 18 international festivals, having received the awards for Best Secondary Actress for Teresa Madruga at Caminhos do Cinema Português and the Prix du Jury Professionnel at Rencontres de Films Femmes Méditerranée and last month had its commercial premiere in several Portuguese cinemas.
The Odense Film Festival, created in 1975, is one of the oldest and most important festivals in the country and every year brings together local and international audiences in a celebration of alternative cinema.
