Biography
Daniel Soares is a German-born Portuguese screenwriter and director. His short films premiered at festivals such as Cannes, Telluride, Locarno, Clermont-Ferrand, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Winterthur, Seminci and Cairo. They were recognized at festivals such as Cannes (Palme d'Or Short Film - Special Mention), Premiers Plans d'Angers (Grand Jury Prize), IndieLisboa (Best National Short Film), Zagreb Film Festival (Best International Short Film), among others. His photographic work has been exhibited in museums and galleries such as the International Center of Photography in New York.
